ECOLOGICAL IMPORTANCE 

Snakes are beneficial creatures that play an extremely vital role in our ecosystems. Without their natural purpose and ability to balance ecosystems we would be presented with many irreversible issues such as rodent over population, crop damage and vermin based disease. Snakes should not be killed or harmed if possible.

Although rattlesnakes can be dangerous they are also the perfect educational resource. If you reside amongst wildlife, have children who attend school near undeveloped land or enjoy outdoor activities environmental literacy is a must. Be prepared, and educate yourself as to your surroundings. Snakes are here for a reason and should be treated with respect just like any other part of nature.
